Confirmation Registration: Deepening Your Listening Skills

WHAT: Phone based Hand in Hand Parenting Group for Parents Seeking to Deepen their listening skills.

In these Calls, we will delve into the theory and practise of building Listening Partnerships, developing our skills in both listening and being listened to.

WHO: Parents with some experience of Hand in Hand, ideally with a regular Listening Partner, having participated in one of Hand in Hand’s courses – the Starter Class, Parent Intensive, Certification Programme, or Self-Paced Online Courses (Aggression, Separations, Limit Setting etc.).

As with all my Call Groups, I am also offering an optional additional 60 minute One-on-One Consultation.  This is offered for Support Call participants at a 40% discount off the regular price, and you can purchase it with your Calls, or anytime before the Call Group ends.

HOW MANY CALLS: You can choose to join us for between five and six meetings.   We will email you to confirm the dates you said you wished to join calls.

TIME & DATES: Each of these calls will build on the last.  I know that evening times can be tricky, so it is fine if you have to dip out for a short while and rejoin us, but if you can be with us for the whole call, you will get more out of it.  I’ll send you a recording of the call if you can’t be there for the whole call.

Australia: Tuesdays, 1:30a.m. -3:00p.m. 11/10-25/10 then 2:30-4:00 p.m. from 8/11 onwards. DATES:  11/10, 18/10, 25/10, 8/11, 15/11, 29/11 (no call on 1/11 or 22/11)

USA: Mondays 7:30-9.00p.m. Pacific US Time.
DATES: 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 11/7, 11/14, 11/28 (no calls on 10/31 or 11/21)

WHERE: Phone based group conference call with Sydney and US based dial-in numbers, and local numbers available for many other countries. You can also join the conference call via your web browser. One-on-One Consultations use the same conference facility is you wish to download a recording for future reference.  Alternatively, we can use Skype or FaceTime.  You can find the local dial in numbers here:

LENGTH OF CALL: Plan on 90 minutes.  If in the unlikely event that there is only one person on a call, the call will be 30 minutes maximum.  I will remain on the call for 30 minutes from the start time regardless of who is on the call.

ONE-ON-ONE CONSULTATIONS: Are available at a discounted rate if you purchase the Support Calls.  If you purchased a Consultation, I will be in touch shortly to schedule a time.  Because of differences in time-zones, if you are based in the US, I can be available from 12 noon Pacific and 3p.m. Eastern (which is from 6a.m. Sydney Time).  My timezone is AEST/AEDT (Sydney).  You can view my calendar if you want to find a tentative time to meet.

In general, you will be refunded to the account you paid with. You should receive your funds within 5 business days in the U.S. (within 7 days outside the U.S.), depending on your bank, via the method you paid. In some instances:

  • You may need to provide bank account details in order to receive a refund;
  • The refund may be less a small fee charged by the payment processing company, over which we have no control.

EVENT CANCELLATION: Groups need a minimum number. If there are not enough people, we will notify you within a few days of the event start date – so please keep the dates available until you hear from us.

MISSED MEETINGS: no refund is available if you miss a meeting. If spaces are available, we will do our best to include you in a later call.

One-On-One Consultation: If this order is cancelled by you at any time, there is no refund of the One-on-One Consultation fee. However, I understand that life happens, and I am happy to reschedule at a mutually convenient time. If you need to cancel please let me know 24 hrs. in advance, whenever possible. If we reschedule a call at your request and it is missed a second time, your original fee will be forfeited and you will need to purchase additional time.

I am a parent, and life happens to me too. If I have to reschedule the consultation for whatever reason, you can elect to receive a refund up to:

  • 28th November 2016 (US- if you paid in US$); and
  • 29th November 2016 (Australia – if you paid in Australian$).

Alternatively, we can reschedule, in which case, the conditions above apply – I cannot refund, and if you miss that rescheduled appointment, and a subsequent one, you will forfeit your fee.

Support Calls: If cancelled by Event Organiser, you will be refunded for any Support Calls which have not yet taken place.

If cancelled your fees will be refunded in to the credit card you paid with. Dates below are all in US Pacific Time.

  • a full refund*2 of any Support Calls you have not attended and paid for will be issued if you cancel in writing by 5p.m. Friday 23rd September July 2016.
  • 75% will be refunded*2 if you cancel your ticket between 5:00 p.m Friday 23rd September 2016 and 5p.m. and 5:00p.m. Friday 30th September 2016.
  • 50% will be refunded*2 if you cancel between 5p.m. Friday 30th September 2016 and 5 p.m. on Friday 7th October 2016.
  • There will be no refund for tickets cancelled after 5p.m. Friday 7th October 2016, or if you miss a meeting.


*2 In some cases for refunds, our credit card payment provider will retain a small processing fee of $AU0.30.  We apologise for this, but it is out of our control.
