Thank you for registering for the Starter Class. In the next couple of days, you will receive an email with an invitation to join the Online Classroom. You should have received a receipt from our payment provider, Stripe (@stripe.com). And if you have If you have scheduled your Initial Consultation, you should have received an email with dial-in details from <email@example.com> If you did not receive that, please check your spam folder.
What: Hand in Hand Starter Class for parents – Over 6 hours of video materials, and Personalised Support.
Who: For parents of children 0-12. If your children are older, don’t fear – I have a teenager, and I work closely with parents of pre-teens and teens and will be able to help you understand how to use the tools with your older children.
How: We use Zoom Conferencing. You can join with vision via your web browser or an app on your phone. You can also simply dial in using your phone. There are local dial-in numbers in many countries. Using Zoom also allows me to provide you with a recording of the Consultation. I keep recordings in the cloud for a week after our Consultation, after which they are deleted. If you wish to listen to them, please download them promptly when I send you the link. If you do not want the Consultation recorded, please let me know when we start.
If for some reason – i.e. access issues in your country, internet blocks etc – you are unable to use Zoom, we can make other arrangements. I can use WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and FaceTime.
However, unless there is some substantial problem with using Zoom, I request that you download the software and test out the system before we meet. Alternatively, you can dial into your nearest local number. In general, I and my customers have found Zoom easy to set up and use. It is a good idea to load it onto your computer and your phone, in case you encounter difficulties with using one or the other. Local numbers can be found here.
Coursework: The Course consists of Six online video “Classes”, introducing Hand in Hand, and covering each of the five Listening Tools. The course is very full, so work through it as you are able. You have at least a year in the Classroom to get through, and if you wish, revisit the materials there.
Personalised Support: can be taken in a couple of ways.
- For individuals, 180 minutes of 1-1 Individual Consultations, beginning with an Initial 60 minute Consultation so that Madeleine can learn more about your specific parenting challenges. Thereafter, you can take Consultation time as you wish, with minimum booking of 30 minutes. You may also attend a Support Call, if the schedule of Support Calls works for you, with attendance at a Support Call counting as 30 minutes of Personalised Support.
- For Couples, 360 minutes of Consultation time with Madeleine. The Initial Consultation is 90 minutes. After that, you have 270 minutes of Personalised Support- Couples between you. You can take that as further Consultations, either individually or as a couple, or you can join a Support Call, or a combination of both. If either of you attend a Support Call that counts as 30 minutes of Personalised Support- Couples per person.
Your Personalised Support must be taken within 12 months of your original booking. If it is not taken in that time, it is forfeited, and you will need to purchase additional Consultation time or Support Calls if you would like further support.

My timezone is Australian Eastern Time, and before purchasing, you may want to check my general availability in order to make sure our schedules coincide.
Optional Parenting Support Calls You also have the option of joining Madeleine’s ongoing parenting Support Calls, either instead of a Consultation, or for an additional cost. Joining a group of other parents offers a chance to share your parenting experiences, and learn from other parents. Calls are organised to allow time for you to ask questions, and offer Listening Time to each participant. When you meet Madeleine for your Initial Consultation, let her know if you would like to join a Support Call. Support Calls run between 60 and 90 minutes. If there is only one person on the Call, the Call will last 30 minutes. Don’t worry if you are late – I will stay on the Call for at least 30 minutes from the start time.
Times for the Calls for the next few months are:
USA-Pacific: Sundays and Mondays at 6p.m.
From October, Sundays 7p.m. and Mondays 6p.m.
Australia – Sydney Time: Mondays and/or Tuesdays, 11am AEST
From October, Mondays 1p.m. and Tuesdays 12 noon AEDT
From November Mondays 2p.m. and Tuesdays 1p.m. AEDT

What to do next Please contact us in a couple of days if you do not get an email confirming that we have received your registration and payment, or an email with an invitation into the Online Classroom. Please add our email address madeleine”at”madeleinewinter”dot”com to your contacts and check your spam boxes as our emails sometimes land there.
Please book your Initial Consultation as soon as you are ready. You may choose to work through some of the Coursework first, or to get started with me as soon as possible. Either way we will do good work together. Please don’t wait too long – as a busy parent, it can be hard to find the time to watch the videos, and the important thing is that you get support for your specific parenting challenges.
Refunds are considered on a case by case basis, but in general refunds are not available. Any agreed refund will be less 5% of the original purchase price (accounting for administration & account fees).
Missed Consultations or Calls: no refund is available if you miss a Call or Consultation.
However, I understand that life happens, and if you miss a Consultation, I am happy to reschedule at a mutually convenient time. If you need to cancel please let me know 24 hrs. in advance, whenever possible. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you may forfeit the Consultation, at our discretion. If we reschedule a Consultation at your request and it is missed a second time, you will forfeit the Consultation time of that booking.
I am a parent, and life happens to me too. If I have to cancel the Consultation, it will be rescheduled to a mutually convenient time.
If you miss a Support Call you have booked, and spaces are available, we will do our best to include you in future Calls to makeup the Call. I cannot guarantee space will be available, however. If I have to reschedule a Support Call for any reason, it will be rescheduled to another time.
